  • Operates and maintains the engines that run the draw-works, turn the rotary table and (in the case of Drilling operations) circulate drilling fluid;
  • Takes responsibility for all mechanical equipment, ensuring that all moving parts are lubricated and in working order;
  • Maintains the water and steam circulating systems;
  • Runs the loader and is responsible for the upkeep of the boiler;
  • Assists other members of the crew with day-to-day operations;
  • Assists in the training and supervision of Floorhands and Leasehands;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Relevant functional & technical skills;
  • Team-orientation & the ability to build good relationships with bosses and peers;
  • Commitment to the demonstration of Savanna’s core values (integrity, relationships, excellence & sustainability);
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage his/her own time and tasks effectively;
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions;
  • Commitment to his/her own learning & development, particularly with regard to technical & supervisory skills;
  • Commitment to coaching, mentoring and developing Floorhands & Leasehands;
  • Attentiveness and good listening skills;
  • Mechanical aptitude.
Qualified Candidates Require:
  • Valid H2S Alive ticket, Standard First Aid ticket, and Confined Space Rescue Ticket;
  • Relevant experience of field work in the oilfield services industry;
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
  • Willing to travel to remote locations with reliable transportation
