Shediac Lobster Shop is a 3rd generation Lobster Processing facility located in Shediac NB. We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Seafood Production Manager.Essential Job FunctionsOversee Cook Production- ensuring Production Efficiencies & FlowAbility to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate a department within production in a Lobster seafood processing facility.Working directly with the Plant Manager:Plan, organize production, with efficient use of materials and laborDirect, control and evaluate the daily operations on the floor for product flow, throughput, and qualityOrganize efficiently the use of raw materials, to meet production targets and ordersStaff management, develop production schedules, determine labor gaps in productionTrain, Manage, guide and support production lead hands and processing employees in a diverse multicultural facility.Recognize bottle necks in production - and react based on relevant informationImplement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of workWork directly with the quality control team, Oversee product standardsProduction reporting procedures for yield, labor costs, finished product, order statusesTrain or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.Attend weekly meetings to communicate production results and plan future production objectives in collaboration with other production managersMotivate and evaluate staff work performanceEXPERIENCE:Supervisory/management experience in the seafood or related food production industry preferred. Working knowledge in food/plant safety, product quality standards, management of people.QUALIFICATIONSAbility to effectively communicate, team player, team goal orientatedKnowledge of efficient processes and flowKnowledge of production equipment for SeafoodKnowledge of HACCP guidelinesAbility to follow company standardsA minimum of 3 years production experience in management/ supervisionWORK ENVIRONMENTLobster Processing FacilityMust be available days, evenings, weekends business based on incoming seafood catch.Salary:To be negotiated
