Job Description

WHAT TO EXPECTWe are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Rubber Operations Department. In collaboration with the production team, you will identify improvement opportunities, perform analysis, and provide recommendations for process development and continuous improvement to eliminate non-value added tasks, reduce non-quality costs, improve safety, etc...You will be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging participation and buy-in from all employees. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation and logistics of production.Heres an overview of your tasks:

  • Actively participate in major projects related to the equipment under your responsibility
  • Contribute to the improvement of productivity and efficiency by proposing alternative methods
  • Analyze malfunctions, solve problems and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis
  • Promote the use of performance indicators and data to focus attention on targeted project objectives
  • Facilitate optimization workshops using a proven methodology (e.g. Kaizen and other Lean tools)
  • Ensure through audits that the tools deployed are used effectively and achieve the desired results
  • Share and adapt best practices with all rubber operations departments
  • Carry out complementary activities to support projects that are part of the companys strategic plan
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • You have a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • You are analytical and have strong problem solving skills
  • You are a creative and visionary reference
  • You have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are willing to share and communicate information with production teams
  • You have the ability to manage multiple projects of varying priorities simultaneously and work with the pressure inherent in more urgent projects
