Administrative1. Ensure that library facilities are arranged for maximum accessibility of materials and ease ofsupervision of students2. Schedule and maintain the booking of classes for research, book talks, workshops andacademic support and supervision3. Assist the Librarian in the training and supervision of library staff (library assistants)4. Contribute positively to classroom management within the library spaceB. Reference1. Assist the Librarian with class presentations2. Assist individual students with research needs in completing projects and assignments3. Sign books and materials in and out of circulation for teachers and studentsC. Curricular1. Work with the Librarian to present workshops to students regarding library orientation,stewardship, academic honesty and research skills2. Create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to effective library use3. Help to encourage and inform faculty and staff to utilize the library’s resourcesD. Collection Development1. Ensure the collection is well-maintained, accessible, orderly, and attractive2. Help to maintain a diverse and supportive library collection3. Work with the Librarian to intake new books and materials, maintain the current collection(curating, shelving, circulation), and cull/weed outdated materialsE. Technical Responsibility1. Catalogue materials according to professional standards2. Maintain up to date catalogues and records3. Arrange the collection systematically4.
