Job Description

Are you a person with strong organizational skills Are you interested in working in a multilingual, dynamic and friendly environment that encourages personal and professional development We would love to meet you!The Manager, Corporate Accounting and Controls will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing complex accounting issues and providing accounting advisory support to various areas of finance. You will also lead and contribute to ad hoc projects and oversee the preparation of audit material and ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP requirements.*What does your typical day look like*

  • Actively identifying and recommending areas for accounting and corporate finance policy development;
  • Providing timely interpretation and direction on complex accounting issues in compliance with Canadian GAAP and corporate finance policies;
  • Supporting preparation of the consolidated monthly and annual results, and regional quarterly results;
  • Reviewing intercompany transactions and transferring pricing policies;
  • Responding to inquiries in a timely fashion and escalating issues as required;
  • Coordinating group and subsidiaries financia statements, working with external auditors as required;
  • Being a subject matter expert in your area of responsibility and providing coaching to the other members of the finance team.
*What skills and experience are we looking for**Bachelors degree in accounting;
  • CPA designation;
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience;
  • Solid understanding of Canadian GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP and other emerging standards;
  • Experience working for an international organization with significant transactions;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and controls;
  • General understanding of corporate tax and Canadian transfer pricing rules;
  • Bilingual (French and English).
