Just ask!Job LevelNV-11As a private Manager, you will serve high-net-worth clients for Desjardins Private Wealth Management and propose a comprehensive offer in investment, tax planning, trust arrangements, banking, etc.You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into strategic agreements with clients. You balance portfolio profitability with client/partner satisfaction.You develop and maintain strategic business partnerships with members, clients, businesses, associations and groups to ensure they are getting the most of their products and services and are fully satisfied with them. You drive results by actively helping your unit achieve its sales and business development objectives.You are responsible for prestige accounts with significant development potential for your sector or the organization. You work with clients with highly complex, diverse needs. The ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand clients’ expressed needs is therefore essential. Your highly complex work and initiatives require extensive knowledge of the organization and your line of business.You lead, influence and serve as expert advisor to clients and practitioners. You represent Desjardins and enter the organization into important agreements with clients. You also have considerable leeway and many opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.General Information on the PositionMore specifically, the private manager serves a wealthy clientele for Desjardins Private Management and offers a 360 offer for investment, taxation, fiduciary, financing, banking, etc.Main responsibilities

• In partnership with the network, offer and sell wealth management services to large account holders while forging and maintaining lasting, professional and personalized business relationships
• Contribute to business development by growing client portfolios and increasing complementary services
• Foster business relationships with clients whose portfolios are managed by Desjardins Private Wealth Management, and apply Discretionary Management product policies and standards
• Qualify clients while adhering to standards. Analyze agreements and draw up a schedule for administrative tasks to be performed and signed off on for the discretionary management of investment funds
• Coordinate loyalty activities by supervising the portfolio’s transmission and particulars while ensuring sound account management in accordance with the agreement
• Develop each clients full potential, carry out follow-up, manage business relationships, refer clients for complementary services and provide technical coaching to the caisses
• Work with portfolio managers to develop investment strategies and ensure a presence and visibility, particularly by giving talks
• Supervise the transition and particulars (e.g., taxation, restrictions) of client portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• A minimum of eight years of relevant experience

• Standards of Conduct Manual (SCM) courseCompletion of the first CFA exam and 24 months of relevant investment management experience
• Completion of the CIM designation and 24 months of relevant investment management experience
