The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who has a strong background in product creation to define, develop, implement, and manage product and marketing strategies. This cross-functional role will work with internal and external stakeholders while advocating on behalf of customers.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Assistant Merchandiser - Outerwear & Riding Gear will collaborate with Business Intelligence, Design, Development, Marketing, Sales and International departments, the PLC Sportswear will have the following responsibilities:Produce consumer profiles, product benefits and product pricing structure.Research market trends and business trends in order to identify and evaluate new opportunities for growth in the marketplace.Build business cases for the product offering.Develop and manage outerwear and riding gear product roadmap and timelines, and work with the team to build product profilesChampion the consumer’s voice throughout the product creation process.Assign resources and prioritize projects.Reach out to our International division in order to maximize global product offering in line with worldwide market and consumer needs;Assist the product portfolio process and selection for the riding gear product categories in collaboration with the Design and Development teams.Responsible for profitability, margins and pricing for the product portfolio in all phases of the development process.Research and forecast potential sales volumes for each model and make adjustments as needed throughout the process.Contribute to related Parts, Accessories and Apparel Product Development, Go to Market and Sales activities.Collaborate with marketing to launch productsYOUR PROFILEYour are an organized project manager, who loves managing multiple projects and work streams at the same timeYour are driven and self-motivatedYour are a problem-solver with strong background in product development to define, develop, implement, and manage product and marketing strategies.You are a creative and enthusiastic team player, and are working well cross-functional, with internal and external stakeholdersYour understand the voice of the customersYou have strong product knowledge and merchandising skillsYou have excellent written and verbal communication.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS1-3+ years of experience in the Apparel / Accessories / Outdoor industryBachelor or Master degree in Marketing, Administration or Product ManagementExperience in building, and selling strong business plansProject Management Certifications or Agile / Scrum Skills are an assetExperience in influencing cross-functional teams while maintaining excellent relationshipsStrong analytical and communication skillsBilingual English and French is a plus.WELCOME TO BRPWe’re a world leader in recreational vehicles and boats, creating innovative ways to move on snow, water, asphalt, dirt and even in the air.
