Want to be part of the creation and construction of our cities Then the infrastructureteam (http://bit.ly/HatchInfrastructure) is for you!Looking to take the next step in your careerHatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Surveyor to join the Infrastructure, Highwaysamp; Bridges group in Thunder Bay, ON.As the successful candidate, you will:- Complete topographic surveys and layouts using modern survey equipment and methods;- Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe work performed;- Work with the survey crew, evaluate priorities and coordinate and organize the work efforts;- Ensure that collected information is accurate and conform to regulations and standards;- Consult with computer operators and assist the final production of work performed;- Coordinate findings of the work with engineering personnel, and others concerned with the project;- Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys;- Determine methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control;- Supervise the maintenance of instruments and equipment.You bring to the role:- Minimum of 2 years #39; experience as a Surveyor and leading a surveyor crew is a definite asset;- Familiar with MTO, municipality engineering topographic surveys;- Familiar with, and proficiency in, the operation of survey equipment such as the Total Station/Data Collector, Level, and various Global Positioning System (GPS) methods;- Familiar with commonly used surveying terms and with the use and care of survey tools and other survey field equipment used for measuring, sighting, and leveling;- Familiar with the latest software for downloading survey data from data collectors;- Knowledge in the various methods of surveying;- Strong leadership skills, work ethic, and team-player attitude;- Strong technical, documentation, and organizational skills;- Strong computer skills an asset;- Ontario Driver #39;s License in good standing; and,- Willing to work out of town.Why join us- Work withgreat people (https://bit.ly/36124ja) to make a difference- Collaborate on excitingprojects (http://bit.ly/HatchProjects) to develop innovative solutions- Top employer (https://bit.ly/3p39hIa)What we offer you- Flexible work environment- Long term career development- Think globally, work locallyDon #39;t meet every single requirement You don #39;t need to.
