Job Description

Come play in the Bay! Old Town Bay Marina is your direct access to Shuswap Lake. Located a short distance from the Houseboat Capital of Canada, Sicamous, British Columbia.Old town Bay Marina is a splinter-less, state-of-the-art facility. We offer a secured gated marina and complimentary moorage member parking. Included in your moorage is outdoor trailer parking, private members washrooms and showers. Laundry facility, porter service, premium fuel, and pump-out facilities. Our members and guests have access to recreation rentals, water taxis, complimentary off-site parking, on-site permit parking, access to the boat launch as well as a Marina store and Marina office. Also, the new Old Town Bay Marina Pub! Old Town Bay Marina is also home to Canadas largest houseboat company, Twin Anchors houseboat Vacations. At Old Town Bay Marina, we have it all...We are currently looking for energetic team members to work with us at the Marina, to assist our guests and clients in a great customer experience!POSITION TITLE: CookPOSITION PURPOSETo prepare, cook meals and ensure the smooth running of Old Town Bay Marina Pub kitchen and all its various procedures. Responsible for food preparation, cleanliness and food safety for the Pub. Polite courteous, communication with team members and guests.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Prepare food according to Foodsafe standards
  • Prepare food in a manner consistent with recipes
  • Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures
  • Tasks and duties as assigned
  • Work online preparing food orders
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
  • Punctual, reliable and dependable
  • Can follow instructions
  • Excellent positive attitude and willingness to help/learn
  • Works well with a team
  • Professional looking, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful

Must be able to work varying shifts and days as Old Town Bay Marina Pub is located near beautiful Sicamous, British Columbia. Where you must have means to making your way here rain or shine by bike, boat, sea-doo, foot or car!KITCHEN STAFF REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years min experience working on a kitchen line
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking abilities and time management
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
