Job Description

Come play in the Bay! Old Town Bay Marina is your direct access to Shuswap Lake. Located a short distance from the Houseboat Capital of Canada, Sicamous, British Columbia.Old town Bay Marina is a splinter-less, state-of-the-art-facility. We offer, secured gated marina, and complementary moorage member parking. Included in your moorage is outdoor trailer parking, private members washrooms and showers. Laundry facility, porter service, premium fuel, and pump out facilities . Our members and guests have access to recreation rentals, water taxi, complimentary off-site parking, on-site permit parking, access to the boat launch as well as a Marina store and Marina office. Also, the new Old Town Bay Marina Pub! Old Town Bay Marina is also home to Canadas largest houseboat company, Twin Anchors houseboat Vacations. At Old Town Bay Marina, we have it all...We are currently looking for energetic team members to work with us at the Marina, to assist our guests and clients in a great customer experience!POSITION TITLE: Food ServerPOSITION PURPOSETo ensure the smooth running of Old Town Bay Pub and all its various procedures. Give our customers excellent service and information to promote a safe environment for all involved. Responsible for cleanliness and food safety for the Pub. Polite courteous, communication with customers. Must be able to work shift work and weekends.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Greet guests upon arrival
  • Take orders from guests
  • Mix and make beverages for guests
  • Clear tables of dishes and garbage
  • Clean and sanitize tables
  • Use point of sale system
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures
  • Tasks as assigned
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
  • Can follow instructions and give clear instructions to our guests
  • Great customer service, good attitude and willingness to help
  • Works well with a team
  • Professional looking, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful
  • Takes initiative to complete tasks

QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Education, Serving it RightREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Computer experiences an asset, Word, Excel, E-mailEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two plus years working in the food service industrySKILLS/ABILITIES: Effective communication skills, organizational skills, time management, professionalism, good attitude and willing to help attitude, can follow instruction and give instruction.$16-$18/Hr depending on experience*Must currently be legally able to work in Canada*Please fill out all required fields and attach your RESUME and COVER LETTER during the application.
