We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Lead to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care in our care home. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in gerontological care and a passion for improving resident outcomes.As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervise and mentor care staff to ensure excellent care delivery.
  • Manage care plans, ensuring updates and documentation are in compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct performance reviews, staff training, and orient new employees.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Care (DOC) to address safety, quality, and care concerns.
  • Lead education sessions for care staff and coordinate monthly in-service training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and resident safety protocols.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary care conferences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee infection control programs and handle any outbreak procedures.
  • Manage care audits and track staff performance and care hours.
  • Address and resolve staff conflicts in collaboration with leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Current RN license in good standing with the BCCNM.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Gerontological Nursing (preferred).
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with diverse teams and residents.
  • Knowledge of care standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate leadership.
Skills and Abilities:
  • High energy, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Results-oriented with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Participative management style with a focus on teamwork.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Physical Demands and Healthamp; Safety:
  • Requires physical stamina to lift up to 50lbs and handle stressful situations.
  • Exposure to various health and safety risks (e.g., lifting, repetitive strain, biological hazards, etc.).
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to participate in on-call emergency duties and attend staff meetings as needed.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper documentation and reporting.
  • Available for on-call coverage when the Director of Care is unavailable or on leave.
