Dedicated to safety, excellence, innovation, and people, we are committed to continuously improving the west coast travel experience of our customers.ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS TECHNICIANSwartz BayWe seek a skilled electrician/technician with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a shipboard environment. Responsibilities will encompass the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of automated shipboard electrical systems; including power-generation, distribution and diesel electric propulsion systems, as well as alarm and monitoring systems.Your experience would include proficiency with technical knowledge of all shipboard electrical and electronic systems and a demonstrated knowledge of WCB regulations and safe working practices. You are able to identify and prioritize work requirements, and diagnose complex problems. You are a clear, concise communicator & team player with the ability to accurately convey technical information through sketches and familiarize others on electrical systems. You are a self-starter and able to work independently. Knowledge of Canadian and international shipboard electrical standards would be an asset.You hold a BC inter-provincial Electrical TQ and additional diplomas such as power electronics, Industrial automation, PLC’s. As well as progressive working experience in a marine environment, you have diesel electric experience and familiarity with ship propulsion control systems.
