Job Description

Sidney All Care Residence is currently looking for a Food Service Worker who loves working with seniors.If you are someone who finds passion and joy in making every day the best for those you interact with, then Sidney All Care Residence is the place for you!Permanent Part Time: Shift will start between 6am - 8am and run approx. 5- 6 hours.   • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Previous experience in a food service setting, specifically in long term care or a hospital setting is considered to be an asset
  • Current Food Safe certificate
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and work with residents, families and peers effectively
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Negative TB test
  • Current Criminal Record Check
  • Good physical endurance and overall health with the ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
  • Must have a high standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Washing dishes after the residents meals.
  • Assists with serving meals to residents according to their dietary restrictions and individual preference.
  • Sets up the dining room prior to meal service and cleans and sanitizes these areas following meal service.
  • Portions beverages and snacks according to portion control consistent with the direction of our Dietitian.
  • Maintains sanitary conditions by routinely cleaning work areas and equipment and practices safe food handling techniques.
