We offer acompetitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a rewarding, stimulating careerenvironment where your skills, knowledge, and work make a difference every day.POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Assisted Living Manager, the Greeter is solely responsible for supporting andinteracting with residents and their visitors by screening and permitting appropriate entrants intothe Assisted Living Facility.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure adherence to current Provincial Health Orders and facility policies and procedures. Greet & screen residents, family members, employees and visitors using VIHA approvedquestionnaire Support and interact with residents, families, delivery personnel, etc. to inform them ofcurrent Provincial Health Orders and answer questions Perform a multistep screening questionnaire; take the temperature of all persons enteringthe building; and ensure adhere to strict hand hygiene and mask protocols Document all persons entering the building Sanitize workstation and surrounding areas throughout the shift (peripheral clean anddisinfectant) Assist with phone calls and visitors at the front door as necessary Assist the Manager with the visiting processes Perform monthly hand hygiene audits Ensure adequate PPE (mask) supplies are available and restocked Understand and perform safety and security procedures Alert Manager of any security problems or other concerns Handle complaints as they arise and report to the Manager Schedule and organize visits as necessary Other duties as assigned by the ManagerQUALIFICATIONS: Grade 12 Education or equivalent First Aid Certification (to be renewed upon expiry) WHMIS Certification (to be renewed annually) Experience in a customer service environment Experience working with Seniors; preferably in an assisted living or resident care setting Other training upon hire FOODSAFE CertificateKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents, families,co-workers, members of the multi-disciplinary team and the public Ability to understand and oversee infection prevention and control procedures Ability to organize work and implement in a timely manner Ability to operate related equipment Physical ability to carry out the duties of the positionADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Beacon Community Services serves vulnerable populations including seniors, people withdisabilities and children.
