Job Description

Company Description: A lively ophthalmology practice in Sidney, by the harbour, with a focus on providing excellent patient care and a team-orientated workplace.Job description: We are looking for someone who is a team player and has a pleasant demeanour.Qualifying candidates are responsible for :

  • Performing patient workups including refractions and instill eye drops in a friendly and efficient manner,
  • performing any required diagnostic testing (OCT, Visual Fields, A-Scan Biometry, Pachymetry, Tonometry)
  • Working with electronic medical records to obtain patient history and exam specifics.
  • Communicating with patients regarding follow-up care, pre and post-operative care, testing, possible symptoms, changes in appointment times etc;
  • Maintaining, calibrating and cleaning all equipment used throughout the day;
  • Returning phone calls to patients and other healthcare professionals in a timely manner;
Working with 2 ophthalmologists, the Individual will be part of a team that provides excellent high-quality eye care to all patients. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in ophthalmology/ optometry clinics is preferred but not required.
Schedule:
  • Full time with possibility for part-time
Salary: -$21/ hour (raise possible with experience)-Dental Benefits-Extended healthcare (fully paid for by employer)-Paid time off and paid lunch breakSupplemental Pay:
  • End of year bonus
  • Bonus cosmetic treatments based on performance
