Job Description

The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high quality residential care and senior living across our eight homes in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.Our Values: We believe our residents deserve excellence in care and we strive to achieve this by working as a team towards our common goal – a happy and healthy resident.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for dedicated and conscientious Resident Care Coordinator to join our friendly team at The Madison Care Center.As a Resident Care Coordinator you will:

  • Provide an environment to the residents, staff and visitors that is safe, secure, healthy and happy leading to excellence and quality of care
  • Provide a high level of leadership supporting care, nursing, dietary, maintenance and housekeeping Staff
  • Provide a high level of clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff
  • Facilitate and promote the interdisciplinary approach within the home through the nursing, dietary, recreation, housekeeping and maintenance departments
Compensation:Salary range is $92,000 - $97,000As a Resident Care Coordinator at The Care Group you will receive a competitive salary, comprehensive benefit package including extended medical, participation in staff wellness programs, employer matched RRSP contributions, and the opportunity for professional growth with a company that develops future leaders.Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a recognized school of nursing and currently registered with BCCNM
  • Two years nursing experience in Continuing Care Sector (Dementia care and End of Life care would be an advantage)
Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess the personal qualities and attitudes that respect and maintain the spirit, dignity and individuality of the residents
  • Must have a commitment to excellence in Care of the older person in a Continuing Care environment
  • Must be committed and an understanding of working with residents with dementia and end of life journeys
  • Shows a caring and considerate attitude to residents, visitors and staff
  • Must have proven leadership and team-building skills and be able to motivate staff

The Madison Care Centre offers licensed and funded residential care to 137 clients, in which 96 of these beds are funded through the Fraser Health Authority. The Madisons room types include primarily single and double rooms. The building was beautifully constructed and opened in 2008.
