Job Description

MAINTENANCE - ELECTRICIAN Wonderbrands, is a leading North American bakery (with 140 years of experience in baking packaged breads, artisan breads and donuts.We are one of the largest bakeries within North America and producers of Wonder Bread, Country Harvest, D’Italiano, Gadoua, and Casa Mendosa.Wonderbrands, a division of FGF Brands, is unlocking an incredible opportunity for growth through a focus on production innovation capabilities, through a leading edge supply chain practice and investing deeply in communities where we bake.We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.As a Maintenance Electrician on our team, your primary responsibilities will include examination, troubleshooting, replacement/repair of a wide variety of electrical and automation components. In addition, you will provide technical support to our production team during runtime hours to ensure optimal functionality of all production equipment within the facility. Utilizing our internal asset management system, your daily downtime routine will include preventative, corrective and facility maintenance. Additional tasks/duties maybe required to meet operational demands.Job Location: Regina, SaskatchewanWage: Based on ExperienceShift: Shift work required to cover a 7 day work weekJob Details:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain motors, motor control logic, photo eyes, automation field devices and pneumatic control systems
  • General facility electrical system maintenance (120-600V Electrical Systems)
  • Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
  • Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components
  • Proficient knowledge using tools such as Multi-meters, Insulation Testers andThermal Imagers to troubleshoot and identify electrical components in need of overhaul, maintenance or calibration
  • Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
  • Complete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedules
  • Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Ticketed in an nationally accredited Electrical Trade / Red Seal (Required)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing is highly preferred)
  • High aptitude with Industrial Electrical systems (Required)
  • Proven track record working with Multi-meters, Insulation Testers and Thermal Imaging equipment (Required)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
  • Focuses on continuous self-improvement
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting
