Have you spent time pulling levers, living in wall tents somewhere past the back of beyond Are you tired of missing your kids soccer games or science fair Drilling has the thrill of discovery and there’s that other feeling, hard to describe, being in charge of the power it takes to drive a bit that deep yet the finesse you need to thread the need to an exact vein or spot 3000’ in the ground is pretty cool. It’s hard to duplicate but we might have something just as cool. A Family needs water, everybody does, and you roll up on site with a big rig. A BIG RIG…4 axles, 53’ tall mast, double drum hoist mainline, 20’ long steel pipes, 48†pipe wrenches, it makes HQ look like a toy but thank goodness there’s winches and a crane truck to do all the lifting. You get to be the guy to find them water. The smiles on the homeowners faces when you solve their water issues are extremely rewarding.You are drilling down in all different ground, sometimes overburden with clay, sand and till and sometimes bedrock. Your experience with muds through epiroc, matex, and AMC is invaluable as-is your knowledge of bean pumps and hydraulics. Being able to stick-weld well is an asset and a class 1 or class 3 license gets you paid. Is the money as good as when you’re standing on a mountain coring 250’ per shift I’m not gonna lie, no it isn’t but… we can pay a completion bonus and if you’re putting out you will make a decent living so you won’t be living paycheque to paycheque. The biggest bonus is you get to sleep in your own bed every night and if you do have to travel outta town for a couple wells, you are paid a live out allowance and it’s only for a few days to a week.
