Job Description

Job PurposeThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating variety of machinery with the focus being on excavation equipment. When not operating equipment, the Operator is willing to assist on site with completing a variety of hands-on construction labour work. Machines will need experience with are skid steer, bob cat and excavator (all sizes),The Machine Operator works under the general supervision of the Senior Construction Manager under Keith and Sons.Core Values

  • Promote and maintain good working relationships and collaboration with peers, clients, consultants, and suppliers
  • Ensure safety is a priority that is managed in every project
Machine Operator
  • Operate the excavator and other equipment safely and accurately
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as necessary
  • Perform daily maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks on equipment
  • Lock up all machines and equipment before end of day
  • Ensure job site and machines are safely parked
  • Communicate if and when delays or break downs occur
  • Ensure all equipment necessary is provided to complete task, if not provided communicate what is needed
  • Seek clarification if and when needed
General Labourer
  • Clean and prepare construction sites as needed
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use
  • Load and unload construction supplies from trucks manually or using equipment
  • Other Duties, as required
