Job Description

The Landscape Construction Crew Member is responsible for the installation of landscape and hardscape projects. The Landscape Construction Crew Member executes the day-to-day activities required to complete landscape and hardscape installations in accordance with industry and company standards.Salary: $18.50-$27/hrEssential Functions:

  • Complete a variety of activities on the job site, including physical labour and utilizing various hand tools, power tools and equipment to complete landscape and hardscape projects under the direction of the foreman and/or lead hand;
  • Monitor and report all tools, equipment and machinery for required maintenance;
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times;
  • Other duties as required;
Responsibilities:
  • Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day;
  • Follows directions from management, foreman and/or lead hand;
  • Maintains a clean and safe job site;
  • Ensures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards;
  • Communicates well with all crew members, foremen and management;
  • Ensures personal protective equipment is compliant and utilized as required by industry and company standards;
  • Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to;
  • Participates in all safety training sessions and/or briefings offered, asks questions, and seeks opportunities to report and manage risks associated with tools & equipment, job sites and installation methods;
  • Monitors and reports all tools equipment and machinery for needed maintenance and ensures all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed;
  • Completes other duties as required;
Requirements & Capabilities:
  • Previous knowledge and experience with landscape construction and hardscape installations;
  • Previous knowledge and experience utilizing various hand tools, power tools and equipment including, but not limited to:
    • Plate Compactors
    • Quick-Cuts/Stone Saws
  • Punctual and dependable;
  • Able to follow directions accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Motivated, self-driven individual with high attention to detail;
  • Able to work effectively with individuals with a variety of knowledge and skill-sets (team members, contractors, vendors and clients);
  • Heavy equipment operating skills including front end loaders, mini-excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments considered an asset;
