Our industry recognition is a testament to the family values we share with our parent company, McCain Foods Limited.About the RoleInvoice Resolution SpecialistFull-timeSomerville, NBThe Invoice Resolution Specialist receives, prioritizes, investigates and processes customer invoice disputes within established company guidelines.How You'll Help:Act as a liaison between external and internal customers to resolve invoice disputesCorporate – serves all divisions across all departments – juggling stakeholders internal and externalReceive and prioritize invoice disputesInvestigate issues with invoices by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather information about the claimWork with the customer and other stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies while ensuring a positive customer experienceInvestigate recurring invoice issues, identify root causes, and collaborate across functions to implement processes to ensure resolutionParticipate in or host conference calls and/or meetings to correct and align internal stakeholders with external customersWork with a team to identify and develop strategies for the resolution of invoice discrepancies to minimize DSO (days sales outstanding)Interpret and apply customer contractsUnderstanding and applying the business policies, taking corrective action when necessaryOther related duties as may be requiredEducation and TrainingPost-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.A suitable combination of education and related experience may be considered equivalent.Experience1-3 years’ experience in billing, rating, collections, customer service or a related fieldExperience in the transportation industry a strong assetA suitable combination of education and related experience may be consideredSkills and AttributesEffective communication skills, verbal and written; persuasive, confident, with ability to articulate an appropriate message to various audiences clearly and conciselyExcellent customer service skills and relationship building skillsResiliency and persistence to resolve issues and strengthen the customer relationshipInvestigative, analytical, and problem solving skillsStrong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced setting, managing multiple files and multiple customersAbility to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment; appropriate sense of urgencyDetail oriented with excellent data entry accuracyAbility to gain a solid knowledge and understanding of Day & Ross’ internal processes and billing guidelinesAbility to work independently and to collaborate with others to meet customer expectationsGood computer skills, including the use of MS Office; AS400 an asset; ability to learn new programsGood judgment and sound decision making within company guidelines and Revenue Adjustment Policy; understand impact of decision on business and customersMaintain composure under high-pressure situations and difficult conversationsAbility to understand transportation documentation and verbiageLanguagesEnglish, other languages an assetSupervisionIndividual ContributorPlease note that the successful candidate will be subject to reference and criminal background checks prior to employment.We thank you for your application, but only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.As a federally regulated employer, The Day & Ross fully supports the principles of employment equity and encourages all qualified members of the designated groups to apply.Function: TransportationLocation(s): CA - Canada : New Brunswick : Somerville
