Our industry recognition is a testament to the family values we share with our parent company, McCain Foods Limited.About the RoleInvoice Resolution SpecialistFull-timeSomerville, NBThe Invoice Resolution Specialist receives, prioritizes, investigates and processes customer invoice disputes within established company guidelinesHow You’ll Help

  • Act as a liaison between external and internal customers to resolve invoice disputes
  • Corporate – serves all divisions across all departments – juggling stakeholders internal and external
  • Receive and prioritize invoice disputes
  • Open and maintain cases within Sales Force based on all customer inquiries/interactions via phone or e-mail to ensure they are handled within the customers service level agreement
  • Investigate issues with invoices by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather information about the claim
  • Work with the customer and other stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies while ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Investigate recurring invoice issues, identify root causes, and collaborate across functions to implement processes to ensure resolution
  • Participate in or host conference calls and/or meetings to correct and align internal stakeholders with external customers
  • Work with a team to identify and develop strategies for the resolution of invoice discrepancies to minimize DSO (days sales outstanding)
  • Interpret and apply customer contracts
  • Understanding and applying the business policies, taking corrective action when necessary
  • Responsible for drafting knowledge articles surrounding specific customers and processes
  • Other related duties as may be required
Your Skills & Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • A suitable combination of education and related experience may be considered equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in billing, rating, collections, customer service or a related field
  • Experience in the transportation industry a strong asset
  • A suitable combination of education and related experience may be considered
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written; persuasive, confident, with ability to articulate an appropriate message to various audiences clearly and concisely
  • Excellent customer service skills and relationship building skills
  • Resiliency and persistence to resolve issues and strengthen the customer relationship
  • Investigative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced setting, managing multiple files and multiple customers
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment; appropriate sense of urgency
  • Detail oriented with excellent data entry accuracy
  • Ability to gain a solid knowledge and understanding of Day & Ross’ internal processes and billing guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others to meet customer expectations
  • Good computer skills, including the use of MS Office; Sale Force, TruckMate an asset; ability to learn new programs
  • Good judgment and sound decision making within company guidelines and Revenue Adjustment Policy; understand impact of decision on business and customers
  • Maintain composure under high-pressure situations and difficult conversations
  • Ability to understand transportation documentation and verbiage
  • English, other languages an asset
