Our industry recognition is a testament to the family values we share with our parent company, McCain Foods Limited.About the RoleSpot QuoterFull-TimeSomerville, NBWorking Hours: Mon-Fri 11:30am - 8pmAs a Spot Quoter, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Company’s quotes presented to its customers by phone while maintaining a positive customer relationship. This requires a solid and in-depth understanding and adherence to all company guidelines. This position requires independently managing own responsibilities while communicating collectively as a group in a team setting. This role requires schedule flexibility to ensure all business goals are met.How You’ll Help

  • Leadership: Participates as a team member, no direct leadership. Participates in team meetings and discussions to fully understand and provide support for final decisions.
  • Taking Initiative: Being action focused, getting things done. Follows established business processes and proactively assesses impact to business while meeting deliverables, expectations and KPI’s. Assist customers with calls and emails and escalates as appropriate to ensure that customer responses are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly and practically solves problems, independently or through team. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the business components, processes and systems to effectively analyze and provide accurate quotes to customers on their business requests.
  • Decision Making: Responsible to manage and make decisions within established guidelines by following pricing guidelines. Demonstrates a strong business confidence and a clear understanding of the impact to the company and the customer. Uses sound judgment to make quick and accurate quotes.
  • Vision/Strategy: Support the initiatives for the future, thinking outside the box by identifying ways to improve existing processes, efficiencies and accuracies to optimize the customers’ experience.
  • Change Management: Demonstrates a positive attitude to change by supporting vision. Identifies positive opportunities that impact the customers. Acts as change champion by being open minded, future focused, an innovator and challenging the status quo.
  • Communication: Fosters positive working relationships by having an excellent verbal and written communication style, with an ability to speak with confidence to customers and co-workers and project a positive attitude. Ability to articulate appropriate messages to a variety of audiences. Communicates ideas, problems and areas of opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Customer Focused: Builds and maintains effective relationships by being customer focused with all inquiries, fostering positive relationships with the customer, ensuring timely and effective resolution and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and the customer experience.
  • Safety: Follows all company and legislated expectations by identifying and escalating any safety issues within the department or location.
Your Skills & Experience:
  • Transportation experience would be an asset
  • Call Center experience would be an asset
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Computer skills – data entry, accuracy, MS products, AS400
  • Solid Customer Service skills
  • Time management skills
  • Team player focused
  • Results focused
  • Education – minimum high school, business related program
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions based on guidelines
  • Bilingual an asset
