Human Resources Business PartnerArmstrong, B.C.Are you an experienced Human Resources Generalist Do you want to help build a company culture that drives safety and engagement If so, we want to hear from you!The Armstrong Site HR Business Partner (HRBP) provides the functional expertise and foundational people support to drive safety, engagement and productivity results within four unionized Business Units. The HRBP is a proactive support service for Operations, providing professional guidance, assistance and expertise related to Tolko’s people practices.The HRBP will handle generalist responsibilities in a unionized environment including onboarding new employees; training and development; employeeamp; labour relations; union relations; performanceamp; talent management; recruitment workflow; people metrics collectionamp; reporting; safety program support; and partnership with line management to solve people and business problems or support special projects. The HRBP will work closely with the HR Director to support corporate HR initiatives and drive divisional talent and business strategies.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Psychology, or other relevant discipline;Minimum five years’ human resources generalist experience in a multi-unit / multi-product sector business;Direct front-line labour relations experience including participation in the grievanceamp; arbitration process;In depth understanding of Employmentamp; Labour Law with experience administering Collective Agreements;Demonstrated customer service skills;Ability to provide strategic consulting advice and to research and present solutions to complex issues;Previous experience with production and trades recruitment and retention desirable;Strong organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills;A high level of proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point;Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems;Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and work in both team and self-directed environment.What We Offer:An unyielding commitment to your personal safetyCompetitive pay and exceptional benefitsThe opportunity to work with the best and brightest in the industryA positive, dynamic, and inclusive work environmentAn open, innovative culture with diverse opportunitiesA commitment to investing in our people through training and developmentThe chance to live (and play) where you workWant to know what it’s like to work for Tolko Click hereWho We Are:With state-of-the-art operations across western Canada, Tolko is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of forest products for customers around the world.
