WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Report to the Associate Vice President, Finance and Properties.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
  • Oversee financial modelling of strategic business opportunities and deliver valuable insights for senior decision makers.
  • Ensure that the big picture, strategic perspective is embedded in the work completed by the team and supports organization initiatives.
  • Represent Finance on steering committees and project committees as assigned.Provide regular updates to steering committees, project committees and the Associate Vice President, Finance and Properties.
  • Lead the identification, documentation and analysis of system requirements for AMA projects, specifically from a Finance perspective.
  • Maintain regular contact with Senior Management to keep them apprised of progress and to stay up to date on the nature of their business and anticipate future needs.
  • Assess, communicate and prioritize finance resource requirements to support delivery of AMA projects.
  • Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including planning, communication, execution and review with senior management.
  • Lead the preparation and quality review of financial data for Board reports
  • Oversee Finance’s responsibilities for the variable pay program, including participating in program development.
  • Contribute financial insights and recommendations to strategic plan development and business reviews.
  • Spearhead the investigation and evaluation of technology solutions to improve automation and efficiency.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
  • You have a post-secondary degree, certificate or diploma in Accounting or Business.
  • You’re an accounting professional with a related designation.
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of accounting experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • You have experience leading teams.
