Job Description

Join CASA Mental Health in shaping a brighter future for children, youth and families by providing them with timely mental health care and empowering them to thrive.Job DetailsSalary range: $74,000 - $110,000Shift structure: Monday – Friday 7.25 hours/dayPrimary location: CASA Centre (multi-site)Union: ExemptFTE: 1.0 (36.25 hours/week) Status: Temporary (until Sept. 30, 2025)​About the RoleThe Adolescent Day Program provides teens with group, family and individual therapy while also providing education in a small classroom setting. Youth are encouraged to strengthen their existing abilities and develop new skills. Areas of focus include interpersonal relationships, problem solving, conflict management, organization and family function. Youth attend the program daily during the school year.The Program Supervisor will:

  • Complete staff scheduling for program area.
  • Complete clinical orientation. This includes: organizing initial clinical shadowing/observation with other team members, engaging in clinical observation for new staff, explaining clinical administrative processes to new staff, and developing and updating clinical program handbook for clinicians.
  • Complete program area orientation. This includes: reviewing duties relevant to program area, outlining expectations of program area during orientation, and determining and coordinating other orientation elements and training supports as appropriate to role.
  • Facilitate and lead clinical groups and initiatives as appropriate (e.g. group therapy, reflecting teams).
  • Review and approve clinical referrals based on program inclusion/exclusion criteria and present ‘exceptional case’ referrals to the Manager, Clinical Operations for final approval.
  • Advise and provide consultation to the Manager, Clinical Operations on clinical subject matter.
  • Support the Manager, Clinical Operations in the development and maintenance of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate, develop and facilitate annual program development retreats and other development processes as directed by the Manager, Clinical Operations.
  • Report to the Clinical Manager and provide day-to-day hands-on support to an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in clinical psychology, social work (with psycho-social intervention designation), occupational therapy or nursing.
  • Current registration in good standing with a professional college identified under the Health Professions Act.
  • A minimum of five years of clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • A satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA), as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
