At our facility in Southport, Manitoba, we support the Royal Canadian Airforce (RCAF) by providing state of the art Pilot Training.JOB OVERVIEWThe Ground Based Training Systems (GBTS) Manager reports to the Manager of Flying Operations (MFO) and is responsible for providing oversight and management of the Training Information Management Systems (TIMS). This includes the coordination of changes to the enhancements/changes to the courseware and documentation used by the Department of National Defence (DND).DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES The GBTS Manager position is responsible for the following key areas:· Courseware Management:o Technical responsibility for development and integrations of the courseware, training equipment, and TIMSo Coordinate required flying training equipment and courseware changes based on requirements provided by the MFOo Courseware and software testing and validationo Development, management, and delivery of training solutionso Apply systematic set of analytical tools to identify and remedy any gaps in training· Supervise and lead the Training Administration staff members:o Ensure maintenance of the knowledge base, courseware linked documents, and source file archives are correctly maintained· Prime liaison between software companies and Allied Wings:o Ensure all technical issues are promptly communicated between organizations and issues are tracked and validated· Actively participate in the Training Program Improvement Committee. (TPIC):o Coordinate changes that have been recommended, costed, and approved by the TPIC· Delivery and administration of the Course Critique Program:o Ensure that Training Administration staff issues surveys to students in a timely mannero Review and deliver course survey results for course analysis reportso Provide statistical analysis reports as requested by the MFO and Site Manager· Participate in audits, inspections and internal reviews as required· Act as MFO as required· Act as Project Manager at the discretion of the MFO and Site ManagerREQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, OR EXPERIENCE· Minimum 5 years relevant work experience· Degree from accredited university or college in Project or Business Management, or in Education· Experience in instructional design or curriculum review· Knowledge of aviation/military terminology preferred· Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Clearance· Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs· Ability to travel within and outside of Canada· Valid passport and driver’s license· Consistently demonstrate a higher level of competency in the following areas:o Sound decision makingo Ability to create solutions to complex problemso Leadership and management skillso Ability to work independentlyo Ability to discern and act quickly on matters of urgencyo High level of accuracyo Organizational skillso Communication, both written and verbal· Pilot’s license an assetNote: Proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 will be requiredLAUNCH YOUR CAREERAs a GBTS Manager with KF Aerospace you can start a rewarding career with a team of people who are passionate about their craft.BENEFITSBeyond a competitive salary, and a chance to be part of a dynamic team supporting the RCAF, we offer you:· Medical and Dental Coverage· Health Spending Account· Disability, Critical Illness, and Life Insurance· Employee & Family Assistance Program· Employee Pension· Personal Time Off and much moreHOW TO APPLY Be a part of our craft.
