ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITYCanadian Base Operators' Southport team is growing! If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.The Operations Manager is located in Southport, MB and typically reports directly to the Manager Support Services (MSS) / Site Manager. Their primary focus is to manage the operational aspects of those services being provided to support airport operations, including personnel and equipment resources. In addition, they will manage internal and external correspondence by all manners of communication, including contractual, financial, and human resource matters. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Liaise with MSS in the monitoring and delivery of services to our clientsPrepare, review and finalize contract amendmentsAssist in contract-related matters and performance team meetingsPrepare weekly, monthly and annual reports as requiredPrepare and review deliverables associated with lease agreementBe conversant with invoicing, budgets and forecasts, and cost controlFacilitate site-wide employee communicationImplement and enforce corporate human resource policiesEnsure compliance to regulatory standards and employment lawSupport and participate in corporate initiativesAdhere to all corporate policies, procedures and initiativesPerform other tasks as requiredCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSLeadershipOral/Written CommunicationsProfessionalism/Work EthicCritical Thinking/Problem SolvingCustomer FocusTeamwork/CollaborationValues and Respects OthersEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Management or a related majorAny of the following certifications/designations are considered an asset:Project Management Professional (PMP) DesignationCertified Engineering TechnologistElectrical EngineeringMechanical EngineeringWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS10 years' experience in managerial capacity in multi-service operations in the past 15 yearsProject Management / Operations Management in Aviation industrySKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSProficient knowledge and understanding of:Contract managementFinancial statements – read and comprehendApplicable local and provincial labour codesManaging / leading union and non-union staffBusiness operations processesOrganization and time managementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMS OfficeWilling and able to travelAble to obtain Radio Operator and Airside Vehicle Operator PermitsAble to obtain certified member status with the International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE)Must obtain Level I Enhanced Reliability from the Canadian Industrial Security DirectorateCanadian Base Operators welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
