ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITYCanadian Base Operators Southport team is growing! If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you. As a proud partner with Kelowna Aerospace Defence Programs, we deliver numerous support services tailored to our client, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).The Transportation Driver is located in Southport, MB and typically reports to the Deputy Manager. Their primary focus is to transport military students and staff to various locations in a safe, timely and professional manner. This is a full time, permanent, primarily day position. Occasional evening and weekend transport appointments as required. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate safe vehicle operation at all times, in all weather conditions
  • Able to travel with local/same day trips
  • Prepare for after-hours transport requests when required. Last minute call-ins can be expected
  • Present professional image for our clients by being neatly dressed while on duty
  • Complete documents in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Maintain a clean and serviceable vehicle and environment; washing, polishing, disinfecting, etc.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Display solid customer service skills to internal and external customers
  • Assist other departments by performing other tasks as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 3-5 years driving experience
  • 1 year experience driving a 9-passenger van an asset
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Current and valid Class 5 Drivers Licence.
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is considered an asset
