Job Description

We are seeking a Child Care Assistant to join our team! Are you energetic, nurturing and someone who enjoys a fast paced environment Then we are looking for you!We are looking to fill full time spots at our 3 locations in Steinbach. The starting wage is $12.50 without completion of recognized 40 hour course. Those who have completed the 40 hour course; the starting wage will be $13.25.Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
  • Implement creative activities to assist with child development
  • Create a positive and nurturing environment for children
  • Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play
Qualifications:
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Child Care Assistant Classification from the Province of Manitoba
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check within 3 weeks of hiring.
  • Must possess a strong professional work ethic, be punctual and reliable
  • Previous experience with childcare or other related fields an asset
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children and their parents
  • Positive and patient demeanor
