Barkman takes pride in what we do therefore, a high level of commitment and a can-do attitude towards quality is a vital requirement for this role.Capacity: You will understand the importance of time management and work ethic towards getting tasks completed and meeting sanitation requirements with high-quality standards.You will be responsible for: · Providing leadership that encourages positivity, ideas, and teamwork· Communicating and training employees on quality and safety standards· Conducting daily huddles to inform and address daily workload changes or staff absences· Following all safe work procedures and standard operating procedures· Maintaining cleanliness in the lunchrooms, factory washrooms, bio-hazard cleanup, locker rooms and production offices· Ensuring lunchroom is prepared for staff such as making coffee, stocking supplies, and following required hygiene protocols· Operating a scissor lift in the factory (multiple buildings)· Operating a sweeper in the factory (multiple buildings)· Helping with general spill cleanup in the factory and office, following safety procedures· Using company vehicle to pick up supplies, as required· Assisting with event setup and take down· Required to wear a hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection at all times and a respirator (which requires an employee to be clean shaven) when needed for specific jobsSuccessful candidates will have: · Leadership skills that are motivational, positive, and geared towards problem solving· Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service· Ability to train others and communicate clearly· Valid Driver’s License· Previous custodial experience· Capability to do various cleaning tasks such as mop floors, wipe tables, dust, clean toilets, wash windows, garbage removal, etc.· Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision· A positive attitude, attention to detail and good organization skills· Ability to work 5:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, 8 hours a dayBarkman offers you group insurance, a retirement savings plan, product discounts and education subsidies.
