We are looking for a Group Leader to join the Day Shift. The Group Leader is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and planning for a department while promoting and working to meet the goals outlined in the strategic plan. The ideal candidate has leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.As the successful candidate, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, responsible and accountable for small team within multiple departments within Supply. Facilitating communication with other leaders as well as your team and fostering an environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and customer service.Video - Learn More About LoewenDuties:Develop, communicate, and execute work plansParticipate in development of business unit operating plansLiaise between team members and other support functions as required (i.e.: HR, Payroll, Employee Development, Engineering, Maintenance etc.)Achieve goals in safety, quality and on-time delivery for SupplyExecutes work, staffing and training plans for designated teamMonitors indicators and takes action to resolve issues that could negatively impact the teamsability to reach goalsResponsible for performance management of team members including orientation and performance managementPartner with other Group Leaders to achieve corporate goals/targetsUtilizes Lean principles and drives continuous improvementProvides recognition and motivation through team celebrationDevelop team unityLead teams toward department goals regarding safety, quality and on-time deliveryMaintenance of departmental workplace injury documentation and performance measuresProvide product and process training to employees, cross train employees in a variety of jobsEnsure that product meets quality standardsRequirements:3-5 years’ experience in a leadership roleDemonstrated leadership ability (including the ability to handle conflict).Committed to Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery and ProductivityExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead change.Ability to interpret technical drawings and shop documentation such as work orders.Ability to function in a dynamic environment.Ability to be flexible in time commitments, problem solving and leadershipAbility to mult-task and flexGood organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and organizational skillsAbility to lead changeAbility to flex when requiredWe thank all candidates for applying.
