Job Description

We are looking for a Group Leader to join the Evening Shift in our Supply Departments. The Group Leader is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and planning for a department while promoting and working to meet the goals outlined in the strategic plan. The ideal candidate has leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.As the successful candidate, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, responsible and accountable for small team within multiple departments within Supply. Facilitating communication with other leaders as well as your team and fostering an environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and customer service.Evening Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AMDuties:

  • Develop, communicate, and execute work plans
  • Participate in development of business unit operating plans
  • Liaise between team members and other support functions as required (i.e.: HR, Payroll, Employee Development, Engineering, Maintenance etc.)
  • Achieve goals in safety, quality and on-time delivery for Supply
  • Executes work, staffing and training plans for designated team
  • Monitors indicators and takes action to resolve issues that could negatively impact the team
  • Responsible for performance management of team members including orientation and performance management
  • Partner with other Group Leaders to achieve corporate goals/targets
  • Utilizes Lean principles and drives continuous improvement
  • Develop team unity and provides recognition and motivation through team celebration
  • Maintenance of departmental workplace injury documentation and performance measures
  • Provide product and process training to employees, cross train employees in a variety of jobs
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership ability (including the ability to handle conflict).
  • Committed to Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery and Productivity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead change.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and shop documentation such as work orders.
  • Ability to function in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and flex, must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
