Job Description

HOST / HOSTESSReports to General ManagerThe primary role of the Host / Hostess is to create a positive first impression with the guests and assist in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and seat guests as they arrive
  • Provide guests with items specific to their needs ( high chair, crayons, coloring sheet)
  • Explain Kids’ Club
  • Provide beverages
  • Monitor guest satisfaction
  • Ensure coffee is fresh
  • Answer phones
  • Document reservations
  • Bus tables
  • Roll cutlery
  • Sweep / Hokie floors
  • Maintain the mint bowl and toothpick container
  • Keep Station 9 well stocked
  • Windex the doors
  • Clean menus
  • Clean high chairs
  • Attend to retail stock
  • Manage ‘take out’ orders
  • Conduct regular bathroom checks
  • Take various types of payment
  • Cash
  • Debit
  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American express
  • Gift cards
  • Coupons
  • Charges
  • Kids meal
