Job Description

Service Desk TechnicianHanover School Division is looking for a Service Desk Technician to join our team of IT professionals. Our outstanding team has shaped HSD into a technology leader in the education sector in Manitoba. As a service desk technician, you will be responsible for supporting various hardware and software technologies. In this role, you will support all aspects of technology required to support teaching and learning in HSDs schools.Specific job duties include

  • Assessing, assigning, and responding to service desk tickets
  • Answering help desk phone calls
  • Researching solutions to issues
  • In-person and remote support of user issues
  • Assisting other IT staff with projects
This full-time permanent position includes a competitive base wage, extended health and dental benefits, paid vacation, and a company-provided cell phone.Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Availability to work onsite at the HSD Administrative Offices Monday through Friday
  • A+, ITIL or equivalent certification an asset
  • Experience as a helpdesk support agent is an asset
A successful candidate will also require the following:
  • A valid Manitoba driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle for regional travel are required
  • A criminal records check, a child abuse registry check, and completing the Manitoba Education Respect in School training.
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $51,000.00-$54,900.00 per yearBenefits:
