Job Description

The evening shift is looking for a Machine Operator to join the Evening shift team. The ideal candidate demonstrates safe work techniques, communication skills, and is mechanically inclined. This position has a 10% evening shift premium.Video - Hear Annies StorySHIFT: Monday to Thursday, between 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM Video - Learn More About LoewenDuties:

  • Operate gluer and or planer equipment according to safe operating procedures.
  • Ensure components are within tolerances, meeting specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
  • Identify, address, and communicate issues as they arise.
  • Flex and cross train as required by leadership.
  • Communicate all possible situations regarding production, quality, personnel, and safety to leadership.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written (in English)
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage workload.
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to take and interpret measurements.
  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Forklift duties as required
Assets:
  • Previous experience operating similar equipment.
  • Knowledge of Loewen quality standards
