As a participative leader, identify priorities, and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunities and cost reduction initiatives for COGS and NCOGS while ensuring customer-focused service delivery. Provide direction, coaching & support to the Procurement team.Responsibilities:

• Sets annual performance objectives for the entire department.
• Determines and controls all the budgets of his department such as budget plans, costs, quality, deadlines, and human resources management.
• Determines the inventory levels required to support the production plan and tracks them.
• Ensures the preparation of the various reports required by Global.
• Develop & design sourcing & purchasing strategies including cost of production reduction through strategic vendor management to support the achievement of business goals & objectives.
• Manages the supplier management and evaluation program such as tendering and negotiation activities.
• Manages and monitors contractual commitments and disputes with suppliers
• Ensures the updating of standard costs and the material PPV monthly results.
• Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers by providing real-time information on material availability through interfaces with the companys planning and production departments. Develop mutually satisfying goals for the organization and internal customers, establish and maintain internal customer rapport, and produce positive results in the organization.
• Ensure training is identified and TDP’s are developed and carried out for Procurement staff.
• Ensure Procurement operations are in compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements for manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
• Provide vision and guidance to the Procurement team in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.

Education and Experience:

• Working knowledge of the associated regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. CCP designation or APICS certification is recommended.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP concepts and systems (SAP Purchasing).
