Job Description

Sewer & Water – Residential / Commercial Pipe LayerDiamond Construction and Gravel is a civil contractor who has been operating since 1964. In fifty-eight years of operation, Diamond has grown into one of the largest heavy construction companies in southeast Manitoba, specializing in heavy construction and aggregate production.Diamond provides a work environment, strongly influenced by a core set of principals that values people first.Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • This job happens outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Work is physically demanding and requires a physically fit person, able to lift 50lbs or more.
Requirements and Skills required:
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 with airbrake endorsement an asset.
  • A clear commercial abstract, or less than three moving violations within three years.
  • Possess a Professional attitude / Able to work well with others as a member of a team.
  • Operate small powered equipment including tampers and various hand tools.
  • Cut, fit and seal various types of piping.
  • Able to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
  • Laying sections of pipe.
  • Making connections to lines including sewer lines, water lines and storm sewers.
  • Capable of following directions.
  • Willing to work long hours to get time sensitive projects completed.
  • Compliance with our Safety Program (Diamond is a COR certified company).

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $23.00-$28.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 12 hour shift
