Job Description

Server : Front of HouseReports to General Manager, Assistant Manager and / or SupervisorThe primary role of the FOH Server is to provide quality product in a fast, friendly and efficient manner. Servers have solid knowledge and familiarity with all Smitty’s products, systems and programs, which upholds Smitty’s standards and effectively promotes the brand name in every way.ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers as soon as they walk in the door
  • Provide fast, friendly and efficient service
  • Approach guest tables equipped with menus, coasters, and daily specials
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the entire menu, specials and promotions
  • Ensure that restaurant side stations and Servery are stocked and fully prepared for business
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout your shift, which includes bussing and pre-bussing tables, emptying garbages,
and emptying the dish cart
  • Ensure food is run from kitchen to table in a timely manner
  • Ensure food is hot, and accurately plated and prepared
  • Assist other Servers in their duties, as time allows
  • If a bill is up regardless of who it belongs to, RUN IT.
  • Regularly check the washrooms throughout your shift; refill supplies and clean the area as required

QUALIFICATIONS for SERVER
  • Experience as a hostess
  • Genuinely enjoy interacting with people
