Our Steinbach location has a great opportunity for the right individual to train in a position as a Service Advisor. This is a term with a possibility of extension with our growing company and a good time to try something new in an exciting industry while learning from an experienced Service Advisor.This frontline role is the cornerstone of the service department - undertaking all actions necessary to support the efficient receipt, processing and return of John Deere ag equipment brought in for repair, maintenance or upgrade. This role supports two groups: the customers who need our expertise and the expert technicians who do the work.What you will be doing:

• Receive all incoming items, accurately record the customer’s information
• Open work orders as needed and maintain control of these work orders
• Ensure that all relevant information is collected and provided to the service technicians.
• Arrange logistics for equipment into and out of the service department
• Maintain communication with customer during the work and ensure a perfect delivery of the completed job

• Mechanical aptitude, including understanding of basic mechanical systems
• Familiarity with agriculture and large ag equipment
• Ability to provide above average customer service on the phone and in person
• Ability to shift priorities and switch tasks
• Organized, detail oriented, and great follow up skills
• Typing 30 wpm+
• Familiar with computerized operations, Microsoft Office programs, able to learn new systems
• Adaptable: Demonstrated ability to continuously learn new things and apply new information
• Current drivers license and clean abstract are required

Required Experience

• High school completion, post secondary training would be an asset
• Technical/mechanical qualifications would be an asset
• Previous customer management and/or sales training would be an asset
