Job Description

We are looking to fill a Team Captain position in the Material Handling department on the Day Shift, Monday – Thursday, 5:30 am – 4:00 pm. This is a full-time band 4B position.Duties:

  • Work as a member of a team with department leadership to run an effective, efficient department
  • Spend 60-70% of workday on the floor
  • Lead coordinator meetings
  • Assist with problem solving and investigations
  • Implement and sustain any new tools
  • Support with time and attendance as required
  • Act as a key person in the designated work area
  • Develop cross training plan for department
  • Ensure materials are available for use
  • Update stock out report and run system for company visibility
  • Ensure leadership is aware of all situations regarding planning, quality, personnel, safety and materials
Requirements:
  • Passion for leadership and personal development
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
  • Understand and write simple correspondences as well as verbal communication in English
  • Good organizational skills
  • Work as part of a team and motivate team members
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 10-25 lbs repeatedly
