Job Description

Do you have a passion for leadership and personal development Do you have great organizations skills and enjoy working as part of a team and motivating others We are looking for a Team Leader to join the Loewen Terrace Door department on the Day shift. This is a full-time, Band 5 position.Duties:

  • Work closely with the Group Leader to promote and work to meet departmental goals
  • Support the Group Leader with performance management of staff including orientation and performance reviews
  • Assume leadership responsibilities for department as the workload demands
  • Facilitate safety and well being of team members
  • Work with Team Members with problem-solving process within department
  • Ensure leadership is aware of all situations regarding planning, quality, personnel, safety and materials
  • Work with team on continuous improvement activities
Requirements:
  • Passion for leadership and personal development
  • Work independently (self-motivated)
  • Ability to understand and write simple correspondences as well as verbal communication in English
  • Able to regularly lift 50+ lbs
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and motivate team members
  • Basic computer and math skills
Assets:
  • Knowledge of department processes
  • Knowledge of Loewen quality standards
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
