Job Description

Yard Care Team Lead (term: June 3-Oct 28, 2022)Eastman Employment ServicesCome and envision a great career with us! We are looking for a Yard Care Team Lead at Eastman Employment Service who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and promoting inclusive societies. We provide a range of supports and services for people living with an intellectual disability in southeastern Manitoba.The Yard Care Team Lead, under the direction of the Project Manager, provides direct support to people in a variety of contract, casual, public, and private ground enhancement and maintenance opportunities in Steinbach. They demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of enVision Community Living and abide by the Vulnerable Persons Act, demonstrate a commitment to high quality service delivery with person-centred outcomes that achieve the goals of persons supported, present and facilitate opportunities for people to learn new skills in a variety of areas, assisting them to achieve their personal goals, to contribute to and participate in the community and to develop relationships with others. The Yard Care Team Lead acts as a role model and maintain respect and dignity for people supported at all times, and are required to work independently, as well as part of a team.Qualifications:

  • Experience, education or training in the Disability sector will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbal and written
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Team player, interpersonal skills and good character required
  • Adherence to the mission and values of enVision Community Living
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Demonstrated competency operating a ½ ton truck, hauling a trailer loaded with equipment, riding and push mowers, and other yard care equipment.
The successful candidates must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with a clear Vulnerable Sector Search, clear Child Abuse Registry Check, clear Adult Abuse Registry Check, have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License class 5F, as well as proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.enVision Community Living fosters a valuing and inclusive culture that supports personal and professional growth.Schedule: Monday–Friday : 8:00 am–4:00 pmJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, SeasonalContract length: 5 monthsSalary: $14.65-$16.65 per hourAdditional pay:
