Job Description

G1 Communications is looking for Directional Driller to join our growing team.Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with doing physical labour outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work in high paced working environment
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Team player and motivator.
  • Read and interpret plans, locates or diagrams and perform required work
  • Mini-Ex experience an asset
  • Assist with construction clean-up and full restoration as required
  • Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
  • Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner
  • Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work
  • Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing
  • In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct
  • All other duties as required
Required experience:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in directional drilling
  • Previous experience working around existing buried utilities
