Job Description

Our company is looking for a reliable Yard Worker to complete basic tasks in the outside environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the company’s grounds and keeping them safe and clean. As a Yard Worker, you must have a high level of physical strength. You will use different types of machinery, such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and blowers. You should have basic carpentry knowledge to perform maintenance tasks on wooden structures, such as fences and decks. Due to the outdoor environment, we need someone who can work in all weather conditions. Ultimately, you should be capable of performing basic maintenance work on our company grounds to keep the facilities well maintained and safe for employees.Responsibilities:

  • Secure area of operations to ensure safety.
  • Clean and prepare yard for project (e.g. prepare foundations for new building, remove trees and shrubs etc.).
  • Dig foundations for construction projects like buildings, walls etc.
  • Maintain machinery in a good condition by performing regular maintenance.
  • Clear construction sites of any waste and dispose according to applicable regulations (e.g. landfill, recycling center etc.).
  • Prepare areas for storage of equipment or storage buildings.
  • Provide services such as lawn care and cleaning of facilities like parking lots, patios, streets and walkways.
  • Keep records of completed work by checking work orders and bills to ensure accuracy of payment.
  • Report on project progress, costs and any issues with management.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies related to the job (e.g. new digging equipment, machinery etc.).
