  • Calculate various statistical data - quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per manhour, equipment, etc.
  • Obtain scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and assist in closing bids.
  • Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
  • Participate in developing project update and bid package estimate documents, maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures, and assist in the monitoring of conceptual estimates with actual cost data.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction
Is this the right role for you
  • You have a construction related degree/diploma or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts
  • Experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Cost Consulting, or direct field experience in construction of roadways, concrete structures, sewers and/or general civil works is an asset;
