Job Description

Omex Manufacturing ULC located in Stratford, Ontario produces automotive parts for several major manufacturers, and our product portfolio includes a wide array of stamped, welded, and assembled components.Stamping Press Set-up Operator – Day and Afternoon ShiftThe Stamping Press Set-up Operator will set up and operate all presses, mechanical & servo, running transfer & progressive jobs ranging from 80 ton to 630 tons, while ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.Specific Functions:

Set-up and operate automated transfer & progressive tooling across various press lines.
Utilize the overhead crane to stage material & for coil replacement.
Create first-off / last-off parts.
Problem solve / troubleshoot automation / tooling issues as they arise.
Follow part / tooling specific work instructions and verbal directions to meet production schedule and quality requirements.
Complete quality inspections at predetermined intervals using calibrated fixtures and devices.
Ensure only quality parts are accepted and notify supervision and quality of any quality related issues immediately.
Complete all necessary documentation: machine safety check sheets, set-up sheets, quality inspections, production reporting, etc.
Operate the equipment in a safe manner consistent with the company policies, rules and procedures.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
Work in a professional and co-operative manner.
Strong team player, able to interact with all levels within the organization.
Follow all Omex Manufacturing ULC company rules, policies and procedures.
Maintain a tidy and organized area.

Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience as a press setup operator.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Skills & Competencies:

Stamping press operation & set-up, transfer & progressive tooling
Crane operation.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 & ISO14001.
Knowledge of ERP systems, an asset.
Computer literacy, an asset.

OMEX IS A SMOKE FREE PROPERTYHourly Rate: $21.00 – $23.57 per hour

Overtime pay after 40 hours.
