POSTING DATE: October 11, 2022EXPIRY DATE: October 18, 2022 POSTING #: 616-22(ONA/OPSEU)HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCENOTICE OF VACANCYPOSITION: Prevention and Early Intervention Program for Psychoses (PEPP)PEPP Case ManagerTemporary Full-TimePOSITION SUMMARY:The Prevention & Early Intervention Program for Psychoses (PEPP) Cas Manager is responsible for providing assessment and treatment planning for individuals 16-35 years of age who are displaying their first episode of psychosis, such as hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized thought, and who have either had no treatment or have been treated for less than six months. The role includes working with outpatients, completing comprehensive assessments and providing treatment. The emphasis will be on secondary prevention and early intervention. Experience in working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or youth is essential. The applicant must be highly skilled in collaborating with community agencies, have an interest in family intervention, a keen knowledge of medications, and skills in presentations. This program will service Huron and Perth Counties.REPORTS TO: Manager, Outpatient Mental Health ServicesDATE REQUIRED: ASAPQUALIFICATIONS:Education:Required- Masters or Bachelor degree in Social Work or Registered Nurse- Current registration with a regulated college in Ontario, such as OCSWSSW or CNO- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and Access to Own Transportation with Auto Endorsement Insurance for transporting Clients- Completion of Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training- Extensive knowledge of the Recovery Principles and Recovery ModelPreferred- Certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- Certification in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy- Certification in Brief Solutions Focused Therapy- Completion of suicide training program- Completion of a crisis intervention certificate program- Current CPR and First Aid certificationEXPERIENCE:- Minimum five years current progressive clinical experience working with individuals with a serious mental illness and/or addictions in a health care setting and/or community based setting- Minimum three years experience completing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans with a variety of individuals in the community and/or hospital setting- Extensive experience working with community partners and stakeholders in Huron and Perth CountiesSKILLS/ABILITIES:- Previous experience with case management and group facilitation is an asset- Demonstrated knowledge with psychopharmacology- Demonstrated adult teaching skills- Effective communication and interpersonal skills- Excellent assessment skills & development of treatment plans- Crisis intervention skills- Computer literate- Experience working with Psychiatrists, Family Physicians and other professionals- Willingness to travel throughout Huron & Perth counties and surrounding arears- Willingness to work flexible hours to ensure that patient care and program needs can be metPlease be advised that we no longer accept emailed or paper-based resumes.
