POSTING DATE: August 16, 2022 POSITION #382-22 (CUPE Service)HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCENOTICE OF VACANCYPOSITION: REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSETelemetry/ISU, Day Surgery, Pre-Admit ScreeningPrimary Site: StratfordRegular Part-Time x2REPORTS TO: Manager, ICU, ISU/Telemetry & Cardio-Respiratory DepartmentDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $29.39 to $31.17 per hourREQUIREMENTS:- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioREQUIRED SKILLS (to be completed within 3 months of hire):- Experience in cardiac nursing preferred- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course (current experience)- Recent Cardiac Arrhythmia course (current experience)- BCLS- Completion of IV Therapy course- Completion of IV Start course- Skilled in Medication Administration- IV drug administration- Insertion of Gastric tubes- Flushing of PRN adaptors- Subcutaneous portal insertion and drug administrationSKILLS/ABILITIES- Excellent physical assessment skills- Working knowledge of or the ability to quickly comprehend the Meditech Information System and personal computer applications- Ability to plan, organize and exercise effective decision making- Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and function both independently and interdependently with the interprofessional care team- Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education- Ability to meet the physical demand of the position**Applicants may be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness and Tuition Support Program for Nurses programs**APPLICATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED UNTIL THE POSTING IS CLOSEDPlease be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
