Based in Sudbury, ON, the Civil Designer will report to the Project Manager, Engineering and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on design and preparation of engineering drawings on Land Development and Linear Infrastructure projects. You will be part of a team that provides solutions in a diverse range of engineering, including Municipal, Transportation, Environmental, Drainage and Stormwater Management.What You’ll Do:As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:

  • Work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with our Planning and Engineering Teams on a variety of Land Development and Linear Infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to prepare detailed engineering drawings
  • Apply AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare: Lot Grading Plans, Site Servicing Plans, Site Grading and Drainage Plans, Erosionamp; Sediment Control Plans, Road Planamp; Profile Drawings, Cutamp; Fill Plans, etc.
  • Assist Project Managers and Engineers in all aspects of project delivery
  • Ensure project drawings are prepared in accordance with applicable standards and drafting requirements
  • Prepare Quantity Takeoffs and Engineering Cost Estimates
  • Conduct on-site inspection and contract administration of civil engineering works, as required

  • You have 5+ years experience working in a Civil Engineering designer role
  • OACETT C.E.T or C. Tech. designation
  • You have robust knowledge in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D software
  • You have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards
  • You are reliable and able to meet project deadlines
  • You are willing to travel for site inspections and fieldwork
  • You are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success
What You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a college diploma from a Civil Engineering Technician or Technology program. Additionally, you should have:
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Unwavering commitment to healthamp; safety in the workplace
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
